• FA Accreditation update
Two star rating has been achieved. Thanks to all coaches and volunteers, without which we woudln't be able to maintain this standard.
Meeting with FA to discuss three star rating approach.
1 Team in 8 Youth Age Groups (U7-U18)
- Must have U7 or U8
- Must have U16, U17 or U18
- Maximum gap of 2 years between teams
1 Adult Team
- Can be either: U19, U20, U21, U23 or Adult
- Link (not merge) with senior LE team to offer a pathway into adult football.
Female player pathway:
1 Team in 4 Youth Age Groups (U9-U16)
- Must have U9 or U10
- Must have U15 or U16
- Maximum gap of 2 years between teams up to U16s
We don't have a 15/16 team, but again our younger age groups show the pathway is available.
Disability player pathway:
1 Team in 2 Age Groupings from any gender
- Under 8 (U6 to U8)
- Under 12 (U9 to U12)
- Under 16 (U13 to U16)
- Adult
Difficult to achieve, but not something we should avoid. We could probably add something to the website and socials suggesting we're happy to accommodate etc.
• 2024/25 signings and registrations
Player registrations/signings ends on
- DCFL - Feb 28th
- DJFL – Mar 1st
- DGLL – Mar 1st
• HUUB training wear update
Unfortunately, these are now due early March. We’ve raised our concerns with HUUB and the club will review our relationship and what we want to do moving forward.
Action - DW to continue conversations / discuss bag options.
• 2024/25 Awards update
- June 7th save the date reminder.
- Village Hall booked from 12pm (event start is 2pm)
- Shiny booked
- Hollow Farm booked
- Ice Cream van booked
- Trophies, merch etc being sourced.
- Duffield Dynamos tournament clash (U8 mixed, U12 girls and U13 girls)
- Ideas welcome.
• Village Hall contract – storage etc
- New contract agreed which states we have training access on the park for 10 hours per week (must be booked in park calendar) over the summer months.
- Provisional agreement on change to storage to allow fixed goal storage. Action - Needs discussion with seniors.
- New 11 a side goals sourced. Looking to replace during the off season.
• Team bonding fund
- A reminder that there is an amount of £12pp per team for team bonding, away day, treats etc. Receipts must be supplied.
• 2025/26 Training facilities
- Racecourse Hub booking has bee agreed. Action - CP to discuss extra space.
- Derby Uni will be booked again when their schedule allows.
- Rugby Club overflow pitches seem to be working, and we’d look to do similar next season.
• 2025/26 Team numbers
- Please think about team numbers per age group for next season asap so we can apply as early as possible for extra spaces / more 11 a side pitches.
Action - with an increase in 11 a side teams in the 2025/26 season some consideration is needed re the St Peter's park pitch. Currently two U13 teams share this pitch, these will become U14s next season and a new U13s will require pitch use too. DCFL will only allow two teams per single pitch. Those this relates to please have a think about possible solutions.
• Free weekends / Cancellations
- A reminder to all that free weekends / cancellation of games need four weeks notice. It's recommended that coaches consider free weekend around half term / school holidays.
CWO update
A reminder to all that coaches have access to the CWO for any issues re player behaviour or other questions they might have. Please ask questions regarding process and we'll work with everyone to resolve any issues.
